THE MULTICULTURAL CONTEST:
The annual Multi-Cultural Contest is a competition where you can express yourself either through submitting a writing sample or a Picture. It is a contest that is open to everyone, from anyplace in the world and of all ages. We look for original and freshly creative works that embrace all interpretations of what represents the notion of “Languages & Globalization”.
It can be anything related to foreign languages or words, cultures & traditions, worldwide experiences or even an international amazing image or story! We want the readers to be changed by your story or picture, and at the same time learn something new about people and how we all live here on the earth together and yet set apart by the differences that must be broken to connect us all.
CONTEST CATEGORIES:
Literary Contest: If you choose the Literary Non-Fiction Contest, we are looking for a narrative with a maximum of 1,000 words that takes the readers into a journey, an experience or event with a personal meaning. Literary nonfiction is also known as creative nonfiction and literary journalism because the characters and events are supposedly real, so the writer has to be part of the story that is being told, if not as a participant then as a thoughtful observer. It can be a true story or not but the participant must show a clear sense of one’s writing style besides a solid point. Use vivid imagery through word choice.
Photo Contest: If you chose to express your art only through an image or picture we suggest an image that can express a celebration, a discovery, an artistic heritage that shows diversity cultures. With this in mind, we invite genuine works that address the magic and art into a creation of multicultural expression that inspires and motivates. Look for the ability to succinctly capture emotions.
Whether you are experienced or just a novice, when you enter this contest, do it for fun and for the love of writing or photography.
